Sapphire is the daughter of the idoma-born music legend, Bongos Ikwue who headed the Groovies Band, which was about the most popular in the 1970’s through to the 80’s. The music legend sang broad range of material from Jazz, Rock, Funk, Soul and folklore with dreamy sound and poetic quality.
